“Do you trust Me?” “Jesus, I trust in you!”

Love Without Limits – with Nick Vujicic

“God pursues you, every day, every breath, for as long as you are breathing, the door of mercy and grace is open to you.” “Who am I to say God, you owe me an explanation for this?” “Who am I to demand ‘Hey God, please tell me what you’re going to do with me and then I’ll trust you?'”

“What kind of a husband am I going to be if I can’t even hold my wife’s hand? … But when the time comes, I’ll be able to hold her heart. I don’t need hands to hold her heart.” Yep.

“Jesus, I trust in you!” – Divine Mercy

“I have a choice,” Nick says, “to either be angry at God for what I don’t have or be thankful for what I do have. My mom said, ‘Nick, God’s going to use you. I don’t know how. I don’t know when, but God’s going to use you.’ And those seeds started penetrating in my heart. That’s when I started seeing that there is no point in being complete on the outside when you’re broken on the inside. I found out that God can heal you without changing your circumstance.”

“I gave my life to Jesus Christ when I read John 9 at age 15, where a man was coming through a village, this blind man from birth. Jesus saw him. People said, ‘Why was this man born that way?’ Jesus said, ‘It was done so that the works of God may be revealed through him.’

“In second Timothy chapter 3, verse 16, it says, ‘All scripture is God-breathed.’ I believe God breathed in me life and faith. This faith came over me. This peace came over me. I felt like God answered my question that I’d been waiting for. The question was: Why? Why did you make me this way? The answer was: Do you trust Me? That’s the question. When you say yes to that question, nothing else matters. There was nothing else I could find. There was nothing else that could give me peace. I knew arms and legs wouldn’t give me peace anyway. I need to know the truth of who I am, why I’m here and where I’m going when I’m not here. I haven’t found that truth anywhere else but in Jesus Christ.”

Attitude Is Everything: Nick Vujicic

Not Pretty Enough

Not Pretty Enough, Kasey Chambers

If you work around the elderly long enough, you stop asking this, because almost all of them are beautiful, not just “pretty enough.” The good Lord loves us all, especially the most broken among us. We are all pretty enough for Christ.

The Church is the hospital of broken souls, those whom psychiatry or psychoanalysis couldn’t help. It offers what the secular world has forgotten: forgiveness, redemption.

Véronique Lévy

Attende Domine

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Ad te Rex summe, omnium Redemptor,
oculos nostros sublevamus flentes:
exaudi, Christe, supplicantum preces.

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Dextera Patris, lapis angularis,
via salutis, ianua caelestis,
ablue nostri maculas delicti.

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Rogamus, Deus, tuam maiestatem:
auribus sacris gemitus exaudi:
crimina nostra placidus indulge.

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Tibi fatemur crimina admissa:
contrito corde pandimus occulta:
tua, Redemptor, pietas ignoscat.

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Innocens captus, nec repugnans ductus;
testibus falsis pro impiis damnatus
quos redemisti, tu conserva, Christe.

Attende Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi.

Hallelujah Christmas

Hallelujah Christmas, by Cloverton

Lyrics

I’ve heard about this baby boy
Who’s come to earth to bring us joy
And I just want to sing this song to you
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
With every breath I’m singing Hallelujah
Hallelujah

A couple came to Bethlehem
Expecting child, they searched the inn
To find a place for You were coming soon
There was no room for them to stay
So in a manger filled with hay
God’s only Son was born, oh Hallelujah
Hallelujah

The shepherds left their flocks by night
To see this baby wrapped in light
A host of angels led them all to You
It was just as the angels said
You’ll find Him in a manger bed
Immanuel and Savior, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

A star shown bright up in the east
To Bethlehem, the wisemen three
Came many miles and journeyed long for You
And to the place at which You were
Their frankincense and gold and myrrh
They gave to You and cried out Hallelujah
Hallelujah

I know You came to rescue me
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Leonard Cohen – Hallelujah
